More than 30,000 people in the United States are living with cystic fibrosis, with about 1,000 new cases of this genetic disorder diagnosed each year. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a cause very near and dear to my heart, and has led me to serve as a board member of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Texas Gulf Coast Chapter and co-chairman of the Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides event.

The CF Foundation is leading the way in innovative research and drug development, promoting high-quality, individualized care and helping people with CF live better todays. Nearly every CF drug was made possible by the Foundation and because of funds raised from Great Strides, people with CF are living longer, healthier lives and pursuing their dreams. But still, the lives of people with this disease are cut far too short.

Great Strides is the CF Foundation’s largest, most successful fundraising event, with more than 125,000 people participating annually. In this year’s Houston event, Brock had more than 80 walkers participate, raising in excess of $62,000 for this cause.

By becoming a member of our team and making a donation, Brock employees join a growing group of people committed to finding a cure for CF. Thank you to all Brock team members who donated and participated in this year’s Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides event, and I look forward to seeing more Brock employees at next year’s walk.
