Welcome to the first entry of the Bbest blog, our online journal of activities related to Bbest – Brock’s company-wide culture of continuous improvement.

As Brock’s Chairman and CEO, I have the pleasure of traveling to Brock’s many offices and project sites to see this culture in action. This site will allow me, along with others at Brock, to share reflections on how our common desire to be “Better Every Day” benefits our employees, our clients and our stakeholders.

Based on our shared values of respect and caring, Bbest is focused on:
• Leading safety performance in our industry
• Building a strong team from many individuals
• Delivering the same performance excellence to all customers
• Creating a solid future for everyone who works at Brock
• Profitably growing revenue for all our stakeholders

In future posts, we’ll address each of these elements in detail. As this is the first entry, it’s fitting that we focus on safety, which is the foundation of everything we do at Brock.

Our Bsafe culture is shared by each Brock employee, representing a personal responsibility for everyone around us, including coworkers, owner representatives, and other contractors. We are encouraged by the industry safety nominations and awards we receive, which tell us we’re on the right path and that the Bsafe principles have value beyond our own company.

Two weeks ago, the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM), a trade organization representing 450 member companies from the downstream and chemical industries, held their annual safety awards event in San Antonio, Texas. Brock received an impressive 43 Meritorious Safety Performance Awards for work performed in 2015 – the most of any contractor recognized this year.

We are proud of our accomplishments, yet humbled by the recognition – an appropriate attitude if we’re to fulfill our promise to be “Better Every Day”.
